OUR STORY

EST. 2011

Fabrica was founded in Alpine, Texas by Kiowa Sibley-Cutforth and Greg Bow. Kiowa brought her design knowledge to the partnership, and Greg his skill as a fabricator and carpenter. Over the years our business has evolved to include a design studio, a fabrication workshop and a contracting team, all conveniently located under one roof.  This integrated setup fosters collaboration and helps us synchronize design, fabrication, and construction while maintaining a high standard of work. Originally a Cadillac Dealership built in the 1950s, our building is situated in the heart of downtown Alpine Texas.

Operating in our remote location presents unique challenges, such as limited access to materials, fabricators, and skilled trades. To overcome these obstacles, we have made continuous investments in cutting-edge technologies such as CNC milling and machining in order to offer our clients a comprehensive range of in-house designed and fabricated products including countertops, bespoke cabinetry, upholstery, and specialty architectural/metal components that are not readily available elsewhere. In addition to this, our storefront provides a dedicated location to meet with clients and explore the tactile nature of their project materials through an array of meticulously chosen samples, fittings and fixtures.

At the forefront of our approach to every project is a commitment to conscientious stewardship of our unique hometown location and the surrounding desert region. In a world where speed often takes precedence, we endeavor to distinguish ourselves by prioritizing meticulous craftsmanship, attention to detail, and designs crafted for longevity.

Greg Bow

Owner, Director of Operations

Part cowboy, blacksmith, mechanic, electrician, heavy machine operator, solar engineer, and pilot, Greg brings a high level of technical skill to Fabrica. He oversees all aspects of each project from general contracting to detailed metal fabrication and delicate wood joinery. He holds the deep secrets of our CNC Plasma, pulls double duty as a wood craftsman, and is the man to talk to in the metal shop. Greg gets excited about hands-on, learning by doing and sees fabrication as a process of constant improvement. Outside of work, Greg can be found in the skies flying his taildragger Maul M-7 or in his shop restoring classic cars and rebuilding engines. Ask him about his 1955 Cadillac or 1954 Chevy - and you can't miss him cruising around town in his Willys Jeep.

Kiowa Sibley-Cutforth

Owner, Creative Director

After receiving a degree in architecture and working in design studios abroad and in Texas, Kiowa returned to Alpine where she could take on construction projects first hand. In addition to her role as designer, Kiowa also manages the company business, marketing and accounting. Kiowa is part of every project from start to finish, including design-development to on-site construction. She touches every aspect of the business, and as an owner, she wouldn't have it any other way.

Greg and Kiowa welcomed a baby boy, Davis, to the crew in 2019 and a baby girl, Mahala, in 2023. When she’s not focused on work, Kiowa can be found biking around town and visiting the local parks with Davis and Mahala in tow.
